Virginia High School Volleyball - Sussex Central overwhelmed by Charles City
September 3, 2024: Charles City, VA 23030 Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Sussex Central Tigers (Sussex, VA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Charles City improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Panthers host Mathews (Mathews, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a Tidewater test on Tuesday, September 10. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 0-2.
The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Essex for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Sussex Central will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
