North Carolina High School Volleyball - Union Pines over Scotland

September 30, 2021: Cameron, NC 28326

Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 3-1 in a league match.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A match, on Tuesday, October 5. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 14-3 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 4-12 record after their 3-0 league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC).

With the loss, Scotland drops to 11-2 on the campaign. The Fighting scots travel to Fairmont (Fairmont, NC) to clash with the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league match on Monday, October 4. The Golden Tornadoes come into the match with a record of 5-8. Fairmont won 3-0 in their recent league match against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC)
