In Friday's league match, the host Purchase Line Red Dragons football squad scored a good 20-7 victory over the Marion Center Stingers.

In their next game, the Red Dragons clash with the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) in a Heritage match, on Friday, October 7. Purchase Line will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 0-6 record after their 48-20 league loss to West Shamokin (Rural Valley, PA).

The Stingers (1-5) will now prepare for their match against United (Armagh, PA). The Lions enter the match with a 0-0 record.
