The Richlands Blue Tornado football team (Richlands, VA), was beaten 33-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA)

The (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Union (Appalachia, VA). The Bears come into the Mountain challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Union achieved victory over Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA), 40-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Tornado now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Tazewell for a Southwest challenge on Friday, October 7. Richlands will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 28-14 non-league win over Grundy (Grundy, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
