The crowd at Friday's league bout between the George Ranch Longhorns (Richmond, TX) and the host Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs (Sugar Land, TX), saw George Ranch's volleyball squad nip Fort Bend Austin by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, George Ranch upgrades its record to 26-11 on the year. The Longhorns host Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, October 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 20-9. Fort Bend Travis won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 18-18 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Bend Elkins for a 6A Region III District 20 bout on Tuesday, October 4. Fort Bend Austin will play a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land, TX). The Knights record now stands at 13-15.
