Missouri High School Softball - Lawson gets by Excelsior Springs
September 30, 2023: Excelsior Springs, MO 64024 The Lawson Cardinals (Lawson, MO) softball nipped the host Excelsior Springs Tigers (Excelsior Springs, MO), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals (16-7) will now prepare for their bout against North Platte (Dearborn, MO). The Panthers go into the Class 2 District 14 bout with a 16-6 record. In their last bout, North Platte held off Maryville (Maryville, MO), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
The Tigers now possess a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Ruskin for a non-league bout on Monday, October 2. Excelsior Springs will confront a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Smithville (Smithville, MO). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-10.
