Alabama High School Volleyball - Sand Rock tips Cherokee County

September 30, 2023: Centre, AL 35960

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Sand Rock Wildcats (Leesburg, AL) and the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), saw Sand Rock's volleyball squad nip Cherokee County by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Sand Rock upgrades its record to 27-14 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 25-2. Spring Garden won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL)

The Warriors now own a 21-12 record. They play next when they host Etowah for a 4A Area 11 bout on Monday, October 2. Cherokee County will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ashville (Ashville, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-8.
