September 30, 2023: New Athens, IL 62264 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Steeleville Warriors (Steeleville, IL) and the host New Athens Yellow Jackets (New Athens, IL), saw Steeleville's volleyball squad beat New Athens by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Steeleville upgrades its record to 8-18 on the year. The Warriors travel to Sparta (Sparta, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Sparta lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL)
The Yellow Jackets now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they travel to Marissa/Coulterville for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 30. New Athens will play a Meteors squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Dupo (Dupo, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 9-11.
