Maryland High School Football - Long Reach thwarted by Howard
September 30, 2024: Columbia, MD 21045 Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD), 30-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Howard improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD) to play the Wildecats in a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. The Wildecats go into the battle with a record of 2-1. Wilde Lake won 8-6 in their recent non-league battle against Atholton (Columbia, MD)
The Lightning now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to River Hill for a non-league battle on Monday, October 7. Long Reach will play a Hawks team coming off a 53-0 non-league win over Centennial (Ellicott City, MD). The Hawks record now stands at 2-2.
