Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC) and the host Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), observed Christ the King's volleyball team hold off Corvian Community by a tally of 2-1.

The Crusaders (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Spartans enter the test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Community School of Davidson was edged by Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piedmont Community Charter for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 1. Corvian Community will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Union Preparatory (Indian Trail, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.
