In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 win over the Mountain Island Charter Raptors.
With the win, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy advances its record to 8-0 on the season.
The Raptors now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Queen's Grant for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. Mountain Island Charter will face a Stallions squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Socrates Academy (Matthews, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 0-4.
