Virginia High School Soccer - Carlisle toppled by New Covenant

September 30, 2025: Axton, VA 24054

New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, New Covenant moves its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) to confront the Mavericks in a Blue Ridge Athletic outing on Tuesday, October 7. The Mavericks go into the outing with a record of 3-8.

Next up, the Chiefs confront the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, October 2. Carlisle will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Tornadoes come into the test with a 3-10 record after their 3-1 league win over Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA).
