In Tuesday's league match, the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Gators battle the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 1. East Columbus will attempt to move on its 12-1 season record. The Golden Tornadoes enter the match with a 4-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC).
