Southwest Roughriders (Bartley, NE) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting St. Francis Indians (St. Francis, KS), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the victory, Southwest upgrades its record to 17-2 on the year. The Roughriders travel to Alma (Alma, NE) to meet the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 2. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 10-11. Alma won 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Franklin (Franklin, NE)

In their next game, the Indians face the Decatur Community Red Devils (Oberlin, KS) in a Northwest Kansas test, on Tuesday, September 30. St. Francis will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record. The Red Devils go into the test with a 8-9 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Logan/Palco (Logan, KS).
