Match Summary
ILHS started the day at the Manteno Early Bird Invite with their first pool play match against Grant Park. After just playing Grant Park earlier in the week, the Chargers found themselves in a tight match. In the first set, down 15-14, Sofia Biesterfeld stepped to the serving line and served the next 4 points to go up 18-15. Grant Park tied the game at 20 and then were at set point, 24-21. A missed GP serve gave the Chargers the opportunity to finish the set behind 4 straight serves by Grace Adickes that led to 3 kills by Sofia Biesterfeld. After the tight 26-24 first set win, the Chargers took control in the second set, going up 21-12, only to have GP come back to within 3. The Chargers were able to finish the set and the match with a 25-20 win.
