September 4, 2025: Carlsbad, NM 88221 Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM) fans went home content Thursday as they observed their football squad crush the visiting Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), 36-0 in a non-league test.
The Cavemen/Cavegirls now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Goddard for a non-league test on Saturday, September 13. Carlsbad will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM). The Rockets record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Lovington drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Portales (Portales, NM) to clash with the Rams in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 13. The Rams enter the game with a record of 0-2.
