Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) boosters were happy Thursday as they witnessed their football squad topple the visiting Enka Jets (Enka, NC), 14-0 in a non-league match.

The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs enter the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Smoky Mountain thwarted North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC), 54-13, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Jets play the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 10. Enka will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 28-6 non-league win over Rabun County (Tiger, GA).
