September 4, 2025: Winchester, VA 22603 Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA) and the visiting Sherando Warriors (Stephens City, VA), saw James Wood's volleyball squad achieve victory over Sherando by a score of 2-0.
With the win, James Wood improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Colonels travel to Liberty (Bealeton, VA) to face the Eagles in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 2-2. Liberty lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA)
The Warriors now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Strasburg for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Sherando will face a Rams team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Madison County (Madison, VA). The Rams record now stands at 2-1.
