In Thursday's league test, the South Atlanta Hornets (Atlanta, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Redan Raiders (Stone Mountain, GA), by a tally of 22-2.

Next, the Hornets clash with the McNair Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league test, on Monday, September 8. South Atlanta will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 15-0 league loss to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA).

With the loss, Redan moves to 5-3 on the season. The Raiders host Salem (Conyers, GA) to clash with the Seminoles in a 2A Region 6 test on Tuesday, September 9. The Seminoles go into the test with a record of 0-7. Salem lost 42-23 in their recent league test against Columbia (Decatur, GA)
