The Austin Eagles volleyball squad (Austin, IN), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN)

With the win, Southwestern improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Rebels travel to Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN) to encounter the Shiners in a Ohio River Valley contest on Friday, September 5. The Shiners enter the contest with a record of 6-3. Rising Sun lost 3-2 in their recent league contest against South Ripley (Versailles, IN)

Next, the Eagles battle the Christian Academy Warriors (New Albany, IN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Austin will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 7-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Rock Creek Academy (Sellersburg, IN).
