California High School Volleyball - Kennedy over Costa Mesa
September 4, 2025: Costa Mesa, CA 92626 Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Kennedy Fighting Irish (La Palma, CA) and the host Costa Mesa Mustangs (Costa Mesa, CA), observed Kennedy's volleyball team top Costa Mesa by a count of 3-0.
The Fighting Irish (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Valencia (Placentia, CA). The Tigers enter the Empire contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Valencia notched a victory over Laguna Hills (Laguna Hills, CA), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Mustangs battle the Pacifica Christian Tritons (Newport Beach, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 5. Costa Mesa will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Tritons go into the battle with a 8-4 record after their 3-1 league win over University (Irvine, CA).
