In Thursday's league challenge, the host Oglethorpe County Patriots volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Greene County Tigers.

The Patriots (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA). The Titans come into the 1A Area 8 challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, Lake Oconee Academy beat Putnam County (Eatonton, GA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers play the Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA) in a 1A Area 8 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Leopards come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Stephens County (Toccoa, GA).
