In Thursday's league challenge, the host Union Yellowjackets volleyball team scored a 3-0 win over the Quitman Panthers.

With the win, Union improves its record to 17-8 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to face the Tigers in a Class 3A Region 5 test on Tuesday, September 9. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-9. Southeast Lauderdale lost 3-0 in their recent league test against Pisgah (Sandhill, MS)
