September 5, 2023: Butternut, WI 54514 Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting South Shore Cardinals (Port Wing, WI), 3-2 in a league match.
Next up, the Midgets clash with the Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 7. Butternut will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Northstars come into the match with a 0-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Spencer (Spencer, WI).
With the loss, South Shore drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Mellen (Mellen, WI) to clash with the Granite Diggers in a Indianhead - East match on Thursday, September 7.
