September 5, 2023: Lexington, IL 61753 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) and the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), saw Eureka's volleyball squad beat Lexington by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Eureka upgrades its record to 7-2 on the year. The Hornets host LeRoy (LeRoy, IL) to play the Panthers in a Heart of Illinois bout on Thursday, September 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-3. LeRoy lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL)
The Minutemen now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Dwight for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 6. Lexington will play a Trojans squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Putnam County (Granville, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 2-7.
