September 5, 2023: Waco, TX 76705 The Hillsboro Eagles (Hillsboro, TX) volleyball overcame the host La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX), 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
With the win, Hillsboro upgrades its record to 11-14 on the year. The Eagles travel to Venus (Venus, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Region II District 10 outing on Friday, September 8. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 5-19. Venus won 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Itasca (Itasca, TX)
The Pirates now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Whitney for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 12. La Vega will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-14.
