September 5, 2024: Des Moines, IA 50317 North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Grand View Christian Thunder (Des Moines, IA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, North Polk advances its record to 7-6 on the season. The Comets travel to Winterset (Winterset, IA) to face the Huskies in a test on Tuesday, September 10. The Huskies go into the test with a record of 7-4. Winterset lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Van Meter (Van Meter, IA)
The Thunder now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atlantic for a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. Grand View Christian will face a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Red Oak (Red Oak, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-5.
