In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Howell Central Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Troy-Buchanan Trojans.

The Spartans (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Westminster Christian (St. Louis, MO). The Wildcats enter the Class 5 District 3 challenge with a 7-1 record.

Next, the Trojans meet the Fort Zumwalt North Panthers (O'Fallon, MO) in a Class 4 District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Troy-Buchanan will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
