The Marquette Catholic Explorers volleyball squad (Alton, IL), dropped 2-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL)

With the win, Southwestern improves its record to 3-5 on the season. The Piasa Birds host Civic Memorial (Bethalto, IL) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 5-2.

The Explorers now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrollton for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 7. Marquette Catholic will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 6-1.
