In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Ensworth Tigers football squad scored a close 21-14 triumph over the Briarcrest Christian Saints.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against McCallie (Chattanooga, TN). The Blue Tornado come into the Division II-AAA East match with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, McCallie nipped Father Ryan (Nashville, TN), 52-0, in a non-league battle.

The Saints now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Father Ryan for a Division II-AAA West battle on Friday, September 12. Briarcrest Christian will play a Irish team coming off a 52-0 non-league loss to McCallie (Chattanooga, TN). The Irish record now stands at 1-2.
