Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Cicero Prep Academy Centurions (Scottsdale, AZ), 44-28 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Desert Heights Prep advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Yote host San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ) to confront the Miners in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Miners enter the match with a record of 1-2. San Manuel lost 63-6 in their recent non-league match against St. David (St. David, AZ)

Coming up next, the Centurions confront the Valley Lutheran Flames (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 12. Cicero Prep Academy will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Flames go into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 60-0 non-league loss to Ray (Kearny, AZ).
