The Desert Heights Prep Yote walloped the visiting Valley Lutheran Flames football team by a margin of 54-6 in Friday's league test.

The Yote now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mohave Accelerated for a 1A West (8 Man) test on Friday, October 17. Desert Heights Prep will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 28-14 non-league win over El Capitan (Colorado City, AZ). The Patriots record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Valley Lutheran falls to 0-7 on the year. The Flames host Valley Union (Elfrida, AZ) to face the Blue Devils in a 1A South (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 17. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 5-2. Valley Union won 46-6 in their recent non-league test against Mayer (Mayer, AZ)
