Deshler Dragons (Deshler, NE) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons (Wilcox, NE), 40-38 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Deshler improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Dragons travel to Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer (Humboldt, NE) to play the Titans in a non-league battle on Friday, September 12. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer lost 28-22 in their recent non-league battle against Omaha Christian Academy (Omaha, NE)

The Falcons now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Lawrence-Nelson for a non-league match on Friday, September 12. Wilcox-Hildreth will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 58-16 non-league win over Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
