New Jersey High School Football - Dunellen thwarted by Highland Park
September 5, 2025: Highland Park, NJ 08904 Highland Park Owls (Highland Park, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Dunellen Destroyers (Dunellen, NJ), 34-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Highland Park improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Owls host Dayton (Springfield, NJ) to play the Bulldogs in a Big Central - Freedom Gold battle on Friday, September 12. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Dayton won 21-6 in their recent non-league match against South Hunterdon (Lambertville, NJ)
Coming up next, the Destroyers meet the Bound Brook Crusaders (Bound Brook, NJ) in a Big Central - Freedom Silver match, on Friday, September 12. Dunellen will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Crusaders come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 43-28 non-league win over J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ).
