Michigan High School Football - New Lothrop can't hold off Durand
September 5, 2025: Durand, MI 48429 Durand Railroaders (Durand, MI) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI), 40-33 in a league test.
The Railroaders now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montrose for a Mid-Michigan test on Friday, September 12. Durand will play a Rams team coming off a 42-0 league win over Birch Run (Birch Run, MI). The Rams record now stands at 2-0.
The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chesaning (Chesaning, MI). The Indians go into the Mid-Michigan challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Chesaning was edged by Lakeville (Otisville, MI), 28-0, in a league challenge.
