New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad top the host Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI), 31-21 in a league test.

The Hornets now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Morris for a Mid-Michigan test on Friday, September 26. New Lothrop will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 28-22 league win over Chesaning (Chesaning, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.

With the defeat, Birch Run drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Chesaning (Chesaning, MI) to play the Indians in a Mid-Michigan challenge on Friday, September 26. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Chesaning lost 28-22 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Morris (Mt. Morris, MI)
