West Virginia High School Football - Fairmont Senior tops Robert C. Byrd
September 5, 2025: Fairmont, WV 26554 The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles to 9 in the Polar Bears league triumph on Friday.
The Polar Bears now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Preston for a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, September 11. Fairmont Senior will face a Knights team coming off a 54-26 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Knights record now stands at 0-2.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Keyser (Keyser, WV). The Golden Tornado go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Keyser toppled Lewis County (Weston, WV), 49-8, in a non-league challenge.
