Frederica Academy (St. Simons Island, GA) followers went home content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA), 24-21 in a non-league match.

The (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Stratford Academy (Macon, GA). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Stratford Academy nipped Wilkinson County (Irwinton, GA), 40-34, in a non-league battle.

The Panthers now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Westfield School for a non-league match on Friday, September 12. Tiftarea Academy will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 33-7 non-league loss to Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.
