The Jackson Heights Cobras football squad scored 21 points and limited the visiting Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones to 0 in the Cobras league triumph on Friday.

The Cobras now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Jackson Heights will face a Ravens team coming off a 40-0 non-league loss to Jefferson County North (Winchester, KS). The Ravens record now stands at 0-1.

The Cyclones (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Atchison County (Effingham, KS). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Atchison County ran past McLouth (McLouth, KS), 40-20, in a non-league challenge.
