The Northwestern Wildcats overwhelmed the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers football squad by a margin of 56-12 in Friday's league test.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eisenhower for a District 10 Region 3 test on Friday, September 12. Northwestern will meet a Knights team coming off a 34-0 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.

The Lakers (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Seneca (Erie, PA). The Bobcats go into the District 10 Region 3 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Seneca bounced Union City (Union City, PA), 30-0, in a league challenge.
