September 5, 2025: Milford, IL 60953 Milford/Cissna Park Bearcats (Milford, IL) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL), 40-28 in a league match.
The Bearcats (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Oblong (Oblong, IL). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Oblong was beaten by South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville (Kincaid, IL), 40-6, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Sabers confront the Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 13. St. Thomas More will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 54-0 league win over Hutsonville/Palestine (Palestine, IL).
