New York High School Soccer - Griffith Institute knocks off Depew
September 5, 2025: Springville, NY 14141 Fans at Friday's league battle between the Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY) and the visiting Depew Wildcats (Depew, NY), saw Griffith Institute's soccer squad triumph over Depew by a count of 6-0.
The Griffins (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against St. Francis (Hamburg, NY). The Red Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, St. Francis was overwhelmed by Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, NY), 4-3, in a league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Holland Dutchmen (Holland, NY) in a ECIC IV battle, on Tuesday, September 9. Depew will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Dutchmen come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 1-0 league win over Eden (Eden, NY).
