Texas High School Volleyball - Lake Highlands winner over Melissa

Lake Highlands Wildcats (Dallas, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Irving (Irving, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region I District 7 challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Irving beat North Side (Fort Worth, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walnut Grove for a 5A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, September 9. Melissa will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lone Star (Frisco, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 19-6.
