The Virginia Episcopal School Bishops volleyball squad (Lynchburg, VA), was edged 3-2 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA)

With the win, Steward improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA) to encounter the Bulldogs in a VISAA Tidewater battle on Monday, September 8. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 6-1. Norfolk Academy lost 3-2 in their recent non-league contest against Cox (Virginia Beach, VA)

Next, the Bishops meet the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) in a VISAA Blue Ridge contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Virginia Episcopal School will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Gryphons enter the contest with a 6-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA).
