The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) and the host East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), saw Newton-Conover's volleyball squad nip East Burke by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Red Devils travel to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Thursday, September 8. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 1-3.
