September 6, 2022: Burton, MI 48509 Genesee Christian Soldiers (Burton, MI) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Oakland Christian Lancers (Auburn Hills, MI), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Soldiers confront the Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 10. Genesee Christian will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 3-2 league loss to Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI).
The Lancers now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Inter-City Baptist for a Michigan Independent - Blue challenge on Friday, September 9. Oakland Christian will confront a Chargers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Lincoln Park (Lincoln Park, MI). The Chargers record now stands at 0-0.
