Maine High School Soccer - Lincoln Academy nudges Leavitt
September 6, 2022: Newcastle, ME 04553 Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) in a Class B - South challenge, on Thursday, September 8. Lincoln Academy will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 1-0 league win over Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME).
The Hornets now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Gardiner for a Class B - South challenge on Tuesday, September 13. Leavitt will confront a Tigers team coming off a 4-2 league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 2-1.
