The Southern McLean [Washburn/Wilton/Wing] Cardinals football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] Cougars to 18 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hazen for a A Region 4 test on Friday, September 13. Southern McLean [Washburn/Wilton/Wing] will meet a Bison squad coming off a 36-0 league loss to Trinity (Dickinson, ND). The Bison record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Shiloh Christian (Bismarck, ND) to meet the Skyhawks in a A Region 4 test on Friday, September 13. The Skyhawks come into the test with a record of 1-2.
