In Friday's non-league game, the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) football team edged the visiting Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders (Easton, PA), by a tally of 31-29.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Southern Lehigh Spartans (Center Valley, PA) in a Colonial-Schuylkill - A game, on Friday, September 13.
