Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Greater New Bedford RVT Bears (New Bedford, MA) and the visiting New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA), observed Greater New Bedford RVT's volleyball team hold off New Bedford by a count of 3-2.

The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA). The Raiders enter the South Coast contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Somerset Berkley Regional got by Durfee (Fall River, MA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
